A couple of weeks ago, I posted about Chesapeake Romance Writers’ 2nd Annual “Finish the Damn Book” Contest.  The contest, in memory of our late member Judi McCoy and her beloved Bichon Frise Rudy, opened to entries on September 1 and will accept your manuscripts until midnight on October 31.

Entries should be no more than 40 pages (1st chapter and last chapter plus a synopsis that will NOT be judged) of a manuscript of at least 40,000 words.

The contest is open to published and unpublished authors, although the entry must be unpublished and uncontracted at the time of final judging in January 2014.  Winners will

be announced at our February 15th chapter meeting.

We’ve reduced the entry fee to $15.00 for RWA members and $20.00 for non-RWA members.  RWA member number required on entry form.

And now for the BIG NEWS:  We’ve solidified all but one of our final judges and they are awesome!

Paranormal – Amanda Barnett (Wild Rose Press)

Contemporary – Danielle Fine (Definition House)

Young Adult/New Adult – Jordy Albert (Booker Albert Literary Agency)

Mainstream with Romantic Elements – Marie Lamba (Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency)

Historical – TBA

All contest information and entry forms can be found on our contest web page.

So come on, finish that damned book and strut your stuff in our contest!  You’ll be glad you did!
