2.  A Christmas Surprise by Lindsay Downs

If I hear one more debutante declare that they will never marry unless it is for love, well. I shall break my quill! And we all know what happens when I break my quill. Things become very upsetting and it isn’t long before I— Well, that is quite another story. Let this author, this matriarch, this paragon of society guide you with her infinite wisdom. It is apparent AChristmasSurprise 200x300that many of you have gotten this silly notion of love in your head, most likely from American influence, and please do not get me started on those savages. The point, young dears, is that love, is silly. Take for example Lady Aleece, poor young dear never stood a chance! Can you imagine being mauled in public? By a commoner no less? Although, rumors have been running rampant that this very delicious commoner is in fact the Marquess of Somerset, I have my doubts. For one thing, a Marquess should be more unfortunate looking which is clearly not the case with Somerset. Let this be a lesson dear readers. If you marry for love, there is a very big chance that you will end up with your heart broken, or in that wretched commoners case—kidnapped (though many believe he should have been killed for even breathing the same air as our fair lady). Dear readers, have I taught you nothing this holiday season?—Mrs. Peabody’s Society Papers.

A Christmas Surprise is available at Astraea Press, B&N, and Amazon.

3.  A Mouse in His Pocket by Patricia Green

Portrait of beautiful sexy girl wearing santa claus clothes on rArt student, Jenny Cooper, thinks of herself as mousy and drab, uninteresting to men. Although Christmas cheers her, it looks like she’s going to spend another one alone.

Unfortunately, Jenny has this tendency to get herself in trouble. Her insecurity is one problem, and it isn’t helped by her foolishly putting herself in dangerous situations. Buck isn’t likely to let her get away with these misbehaviors, and spanks her when she needs it. But, she makes the ultimate mistake of thoughtlessly disrespecting him. It looks like the relationship is over. He’s hurt and she is sick with guilt. She asks for punishment, knowing that she deserves it. But will Buck take her back after he takes that awful crop to her rear?

A Mouse in His Pocket is full of romance and sweet, loving discipline in a Christmas setting, but is not erotic. It is a prequel to Strong, Silent Type.  SST is available at Amazon.

8.  Rekindling Christmas by Yvette Hines

RekindlingChristmas 453x680

When she sees an ad for a single’s retreat in her inbox she doesn’t need any more of an excuse to ditch the family affair. However, she is in for a shock when she arrives at Village Resort and discovers that “home” has followed her to Colorado, in the form of Carson Rodman. Ryanne remembered Carson as the sweet, kind, skinny boy next door with the hot older brother. She never would have imagined he’d turned out to be a successful and confident man who could halt her breath with one dark, smoldering glance.

Carson and his family had never been ‘tight-knit’ and spending holidays together never formed in their plans. After a year of nursing a bad break-up he allows his best friend to convince him they should spend the holiday on the slopes picking up single snow bunnies. When he literally bumps into a woman from his past that he has never been able to get out of his wet dreams, he knows that this wonderland vacation has turned into paradise. Years ago, he missed his chance with Ryanne, but he refuses to allow her to get away again.

10.  Disenchanted Christmas by Sandra Sookoo

SS_DisenchantedChristmas--smallChristmas in 1899 starts as a joyless affair.  Bethany Cundiff has hit a rough patch of life. While caring for her young niece and nephew, she’s evicted from her residence and fired from her job ten days before Christmas.  To make matters worse, a gentleman who desires her company for the holiday, and has the money to back up the promise, propositions her for sex.

Blake Wenchal is a disenchanted elf that’s been banished from the Northern Realm and Santa’s court because he’s lost the spirit of compassion and charity.  Lonely from years spent by himself, he’s thrown off balance when Bethany accepts his ill-advised offer of paid bed mate—except she arrives on his doorstep with children in tow.

Neither one counted on the power of love, acceptance and the miracle of family to make the holiday unforgettable.

Sandra has an additional giveaway: a random winner can win any of my backlisted holiday books (Perfect Homecoming not included in the giveaway.) Winner can pick from Not Just Make Believe, Disenchanted Christmas, The Eighth Night or Off the List. Info for each can be found on my website www.sandrasookoo.com.
