I’ve got one or two more teasings from Scandal, and I hope I’ll have news for you about when it will be available.

The masked man has purchased a woman in a brothel auction and has come to claim his prize.  His “slave” however, continues to insist there has been a mistake.  He has managed to turn the tables on the “lady” and call her virtue into question.  While evading the man’s advances, they discover a missing bit of vital information that seems turn the tide of his opinion of her.  Then, in a moment of weakness, Katarina lets down her guard and things begin to heat up. She was reveling in a scorching kiss from the stranger who is bent on taking further liberties when reality crashes back, safe haven becoming a trap she too easily falls into.  She makes a last-ditch attempt to free herself…and realizes she has been duped.

He never once believed her story. And she had let this scoundrel touch her…

Twisting, she fought back as he pressed her into the soft covers. With ease he gripped her hands, raised them above her head. God, but he was strong! He pushed her gown up to her hips and an insistent hardness pressed against her legs as he tried to part them.

This is so not looking good for Kat.

My Sweet Saturday Sample and Six Sentence Sunday posts from January through May here at on my blog can catch you up to what’s been going on in the story.  Be sure to come back next week for another six sentence installment on SSS.

  5. She is in quite a situation!

  6. Karla Doyle says:

Oh, I am a fan of a man with “insistent hardness” LOL. Great six, Jenna! 🙂

  7. Carrie-Anne says:

Wonderful six! At this point it looks like Kat’s only exit might be a well-placed knee to the groin!

  8. Gem says:

Teetering on the edge. Will she find something to clock him in the head with or melt into his arms? I can’t wait to find out. Great writing, Jenna.

  9. KE Saxon says:

Hmm…a forced seduction may be in the offing? I can’t help it, I love this kind of story. The first romance I ever read was The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss–talk about a forced seduction!! Then there was the repeated forced seductions of Ginny by Steve Morgan in Sweet Savage Love by Rosemary Rogers. *Sigh* Can’t wait to read this one, Jenna!! Great six.

  10. Wow, wondering now if she can extricate herself from this, or will she give in, what happens next…yup, I’m intrigued LOL. Terrific six!

  11. Gemma Parkes says:

Passionate snippet, wondering what the next six will bring!

  12. Brenda says:

Oooooh, I’m on the edge of my seat!!!! Great six as always!

  13. chitsuen says:

Well goodness! Do I have to wait till next week to get more?! Sexy six, Jenna!

  14. “Rape” fantasies never go away in romance novels, which I think tells us something about women. No one wants to be really raped, but the idea of forced consent (in this case, coerced because she finds him seductive in a rough way) is titillating to many readers. It makes him more dangerous which is where I think it all comes from. Women love their bad boys. You made him sexy and forceful with your skillful writing, Jenna. It’s fun watching these two spar.

  15. Sue says:

Well, guess how you define “good” as to how it’s looking for her 😀

  16. Paula Martin says:

Doesn’t look good for her at all – wonder what’s going to happen next?

  17. Wildcat's Wife says:

A masked man and a moment of weakness? This is hot! The story-line intrigues me!

  18. Is it wrong I find this utterly delicious? *grins*

  19. ebondreams says:

LMAO I don’t know…I find it might be very good for her. Great six!

  20. I’d love to see how she handles this….awesome 6 Jenna!

  21. Wow! It isn’t looking like she’s getting out of this predicament. Love it!

  22. Lia Davis says:

Nope, doesn’t look good. Great six!

  23. Jessica Subject says:

Great six! No, not looking good for her at all. Can’t wait until you have news! 🙂
